Scott D. Rodgville, CPA, CGMA
Scott Rodgville has been with Gorfine, Schiller & Gardyn for over 20 years and has 25 years of experience in public accounting. He serves as one of the leaders of the firm’s Accounting and Auditing Practice group and is a team leader of the firm’s not-for-profit and employee benefit plan service areas. Scott’s experience involves financial statement preparation, audit and tax services, specifically in the areas of not-for-profit organizations, real estate, employee benefit plans including 401(k) profit sharing plans, labor unions and various other commercial industries.
As a CPA, Scott provides valuable support to clients in streamlining and strengthening their internal controls and operating efficiencies. His understanding of the needs of not-for-profit organizations, employee benefit plans and real estate operations, amongst other industries provide an opportunity for him to help clients manage their organizations more effectively.
Scott is also a key contributor to the firm’s business development strategies by enhancing existing client relationships and developing new partnerships. Scott represents the firm in the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan areas through networking and speaking engagements throughout the year.
In 2011, 2012, and 2015, Scott was named a SmartCPA by SmartCEO Magazine. SmartCEO Magazine also named Scott one of Maryland’s Top 40 Accountants in July of 2006.
Scott received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Towson University in 1997 and his Master of Science degree in Taxation from the University of Baltimore in 2001. He received his CPA certification in 1998.
Scott is a Board Member and former Chair of the Board of Directors for the BrightFocus Foundation, formerly the American Health Assistance Foundation, a Clarksburg, Maryland-based organization that funds research and provides education in connection with Alzheimer’s, Glaucoma and Muscular Degeneration. Scott is also a member of the Finance Committee for Paul’s Place, Inc., located in southwest Baltimore. Paul’s Place is an outreach center that provides quality of life services, programs and resources for the community.
