Melissa West is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in public accounting. Her expertise encompasses tax planning and the preparation of tax returns for a diverse range of clients, including partnerships, individuals, and tax-exempt organizations. Melissa has developed a strong specialization in charitable remainder trusts and not-for-profit organizations, providing her clients with tailored advice and solutions. Her proficiency in QuickBooks allows her to effectively consult with small to medium-sized businesses, assisting them in managing their basic accounting and reporting needs efficiently.
Melissa’s academic journey began at the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Her commitment to professional excellence led her to achieve CPA certification in 2007, further enhancing her credentials in the field.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Melissa is actively involved in community service. She currently serves as the Treasurer of the PTA for Warren Elementary, where she manages the school’s financial statements with diligence and accuracy. Her previous role on the Board of Beth El Congregation further highlights her dedication to contributing to her community.
