Joseph A. Liberman, CPA, MS
Joe Liberman currently serves as a Director at Gorfine, Schiller & Gardyn, where he leverages his extensive experience in tax services across various sectors, including real estate, law, healthcare, technology, and not-for-profit organizations. With over 30 years in the field, Joe has developed a deep expertise in navigating the complexities of tax regulations and providing strategic tax planning advice.
Before his current role, Joe was the partner-in-charge of the Baltimore tax department at SMART and Associates. His career trajectory includes significant roles such as an officer at Grabush, Newman, Co., P.A., which merged with SMART in 2003. Prior to this, he was a partner at a local accounting firm that joined forces with Grabush, Newman & Co., P.A. in December 1997.
Joe’s academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Towson University and a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Baltimore. He is a dedicated member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA). His involvement with MACPA has been notable, having served on its Peer Review and Federal Tax Committees. Additionally, Joe was previously engaged with the International Group of Accounting Firms, contributing to the global discourse on accounting practices.
