We are currently seeking talented candidates to fill the position of Audit Supervisor.

Qualifications are as follows:

The audit supervisor will play a crucial role in managing audit engagements, mentoring junior staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services to a variety of clients.

Responsibilities:

Engagement Management
Scheduling, planning and executing audit and review engagements in accordance with GAAS. Supervision and review of work prepared by staff and senior accountants. The ideal candidate has experience managing multiple engagements and multiple staff members concurrently, and is able to plan and perform audit procedures to address risk.

Team Leadership

Supervise and mentor team members by planning appropriate work for junior and senior staff, answering technical as well as procedural questions and teaching improved processes to foster their professional development. Participate in providing feedback for team members. Keep team manager informed with status updates. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Client Interaction
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during audit and review engagements and build relationships with client management. Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to clients.

Quality Assurance
Ensure that all audit work complies with firm policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements. Express strong communication skills while working remotely and in person.

Technical Expertise
Provide guidance on complex accounting and auditing issues. Able to identify misstatements and correcting journal entries. Strong analytical skills with a passion for financial story telling.

Process Improvement
Identify opportunities for improving efficiencies in audit and review engagement processes, manage and report to team manager regarding engagement budgets. Contribute to the development and enhancement of engagement tools and methodologies.

Industries Exposure
Industries the team member will be working in and exposed to include:  Healthcare, rental real estate, not for profit, construction contracting and employee benefit plans, HUD, labor unions.

Preferred Skills:

Documentation Skills, attention to detail, reporting research results, analytical skills, financial software familiarity (QuickBooks, Yardi), advanced excel skills. 

Education, Training, and Experience Requirements
Ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of audit and accounting experience in a small to mid-size Public Accounting Firm.

CPA or a candidate for a CPA is required.
