Comptroller Peter Franchot announced on Thursday, March 11 the deadline to file state income taxes has been extended to July 15 in Maryland.
The extension includes individuals, pass-through, fiduciary and corporate income tax returns, and first and second quarter estimates.
No interest or penalties will be assessed during the additional three-month timeframe. It is not necessary to file for an extension.
